Senate passes Illinois gambling bill

Last Wednesday, reports were there all over the nation that the Illinois Senate had passed the state’s gambling bill.

With the bill, it is the believed that the cash-stripped state is going to generate the much-needed revenue by expanding the gambling industry there. Chicago is also going to get its first casino as well.

According to the reports, Chicago is going to be allowed 4,000 sites, which will give scope for slots as well as other form of casino games for the casino in the city. It is also believed that slot machines are going to be placed at the two major airports in the city as well.

The bill involves appointment of a gaming inspector general. He will be the man from the political party, who will be looking into the gambling license issues. Again, this inspector general will be appointed by the Gaming Board of the state. He will also be having the power to keep a check on the situation with the casinos in the city.

It is finally good news for the people of the Windy City, as they would finally get their hands on gambling entertainment without needing to move out of the city.
